Z-map based cutting force prediction for elliptical ultrasonic vibration-assisted milling process

چکیده
Elliptical ultrasonic vibration-assisted milling (EUVAM) adds high-frequency vibration to conventional (CM) realize intermittent milling. It has broad application prospects in the processing of difficult-to-cut materials such as titanium alloys, superalloys, and hard brittle materials. To reveal mechanism highly cutting nature EUVAM, according motion relationship between edge workpiece Z-map representation workpiece, a method its algorithm for calculating undeformed thickness thus force EUVAM are proposed. The simulation results show that can improve actual speed when compared with CM, proportion idle time will directly determine degree process. experiment is performed verify correctness proposed model, impact spindle on also analyzed. shown UEVAM reduce by up 50% under appropriate conditions.
